A forest fire prevention and early warning platform which uses satellite remote sensing monitoring, was put into use recently in Beijing. The platform uses real-time monitoring data received from 10 satellites every 10 minutes and processed every 15 to 30 minutes. The platform can quickly detect forest fires with a- 10 square meters-accuracy.

Changping District recently launched a "Ming Tombs" themed cycling route to promote its cultural tourism resources. The 10-kilometer route passes several famous tourist attractions, including Shisanling Reservoir and the Ming Tombs area, a collection of mausoleums built by the emperors of the Ming dynasty in China. The cycling season will last until June 30.

A batch of Beijing’s Central Axis-themed bookstores will open in Beijing, in a bid to promote the culture of the Central Axis and support its bid for a Would Cultural Heritage site. At least 30% of store space or no less than 100 square meters in each store will be designated for the promotion, display and sale of publications and products related to Beijing's Central Axis and Beijing's history and culture. Such bookstores are also encouraged to run the Central Axis-themed reading and exchange events as well as exhibitions.

北京市将认定并扶持一批北京中轴线书店，引导实体书店传播中轴线文化，推动北京中轴线申遗工作。经认定的书店要划分出不少于书店总面积 30%或不低于100平方米的专属空间，用于宣传、展示、售卖与北京中轴线及北京历史文化有关的出版物、文创产品，或举办阅读、交流以及其他相关的展示体验活动等。

A month long space-themed event is ongoing in China Science and Technology Museum and will last until April 30. Space experts and scholars are invited to deliver public lectures and online classes showcasing China's great achievements in space exploration. 因存在多次违规停放共享单车等不文明行为，首批319人被纳入“北京区域违规停放联合限制骑行名单”。其中，在高速公路、城市快速路等主路违停的166人；在核心区16个禁停区停放3次及以上的145人；因恶意破坏共享单车、私自占有共享单车等被企业采取风控措施的用户8人。被纳入限制骑行名单的人将根据严重程度，在7天到30天内被限制使用共享单车。
